- Infants, i.e., children between 7 days to under 2 years of age are allowed to travel on an adult passenger’s lap.

- Children between 2 – 5 years old are not allowed to travel alone—they must be accompanied by an adult passenger who is at least 18 years old.
- Children between 5 – 12 years of age are regarded as minors and allowed to travel alone as Unaccompanied Minors using IndiGo’s Flying Solo Service.
- Children between 13 – 18 years of age have the option to travel alone or use the Flying Solo Service.
- Unaccompanied Minors will not be accepted on the following flights—unless accompanied by an adult who is at least 18 years old:
- Flights with night halts
- Flights involving transfers to other airlines
- Stopovers exceeding 6 hours
- An additional per-sector fee will be charged, as indicated in Annexure A.
- Pregnant women
- Pregnant passengers with uncomplicated single pregnancies:
- Are permitted to travel till 36 weeks of pregnancy.
- If traveling between 32 – 36 weeks, must furnish a Fit to Fly certificate from their treating gynecologist.

- Pregnant passengers with uncomplicated multiple pregnancies:
- Are permitted to travel till 32 weeks of pregnancy.
- If traveling between 28 – 32 weeks, must furnish a Fit to Fly certificate from their treating gynecologist.
- The certificate must not be older than 3 days.
- Pregnant passengers with complicated pregnancies:
- Are permitted on an individual case basis.
- Are not permitted to travel beyond 32 weeks of pregnancy.
- If traveling between 28 – 32 weeks, must furnish a Fit to Fly certificate from their treating gynecologist.
- The certificate must not be older than 3 days.
- Medical clearance from IndiGo’s doctor is also required.
- The Fit to Fly certificate from the treating gynecologist must state the following:
- Weeks of pregnancy
- Expected delivery date
- Complications, if any
- Pregnant passengers beyond 36 weeks will not be accepted for safety reasons.
- Passengers requiring visual assistance
- After reaching the airport, request the airport staff for escort assistance through the terminal, and later to pre-board and disembark the aircraft.
- Be sure to check in early for the flight. Remember, boarding gates close 25 minutes before departure for domestic flights and 45 minutes before departure for international flights.
- Passengers who request at the airport can board before others.
- Passengers with visual impairments will not be allotted exit row seats per safety regulations.
- The cabin crew will:
- Provide Safety Briefing Cards in Braille.
- Read out the menu options, identify food items and their placement on the trays.

- Documentation
- Must carry valid documentation from an established institution stating that the guide dog is a trained service animal.
- The vaccination certificate must be in order.
- Hygiene/travel requirements
- The passenger must carry a moisture-absorbent mat and place it under the service dog.
- The service dog must be properly trained, muzzled, restrained, and vaccinated.
- Service dogs that cannot be controlled by a passenger or posing a threat to the health or safety of other passengers will not be accepted.

- International travel
- If traveling into or out of India, the service dog must meet the destination country’s requirements.
- Passengers traveling with spinal support equipment (SSE)

- Passengers carrying their own support equipment must know how to install, use, and remove it.
- Spinal support equipment can be carried free of charge.
- IndiGo’s engineering team will check to ensure that the SSE can be safely accommodated in the aircraft.
- Passengers traveling with broken limbs
- Passengers traveling with fractured or broken limbs in plaster must:
- Furnish a Fit to Fly certificate.
- The cast must be at least 48 hours old, except for post-cast slabs and bivalve casts.
- Passengers who cannot bend their legs at the knee joint:
- Must purchase an additional seat to keep the leg elevated.
(does not apply to passengers traveling with a cast below the knee)
- Will have the window and middle seats blocked.
- Will not be permitted to place their leg in a way that it obstructs anyone’s passage.

- Portable Oxygen Concentrators (POCs) must be approved for carriage by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).

- Must request at least 48 hours before departure that the POC will be carried or used during the flight.
- The POC must not interfere with the communication, navigation, or electrical equipment on the aircraft.
- Must know how to pack, assemble, dismantle, and use the POC.
- If carrying as checked baggage
- Must ensure that the POC is empty and free of any residual oxygen.
- If powered by a lithium battery, the battery must be removed and carried as hand baggage.
- If powered by other battery types, the battery must be removed and packed separately so that the battery’s terminals are protected and prevented from coming in contact with metal objects.
- Batteries will be subject to all the applicable requirements such as the requirements mentioned under the Aircraft (Carriage of Dangerous Goods) Rules, 2003, the IATA Dangerous Goods Regulations, and the ICAO Technical Instructions for the Safe Transport of Dangerous Goods.
- If carrying as hand baggage
- Passengers carrying or using a POC will only be assigned a window seat, except seats in rows 1, 12, and 13. They will not be allowed to occupy middle or aisle seats. However, the seats may be changed (if required).
- Must be able to operate the POC device and respond appropriately to the POC’s warning signs without assistance.
- POC devices must be stowed under the front seat during taxi, take-off, and landing.

IndiGo Seat Reservation for Disabled Passengers
If you didn’t make any request for special assistance at the time of booking, you must notify IndiGo at least 48 hours before departure in most cases. However, you must notify:
- At least 72 hours before departure if you need to travel on a stretcher.
- At least 7 days before departure if you’re traveling with spinal support equipment (SSE).

IndiGo In-flight Entertainment (IFE) Services
IndiGo does not offer seatback entertainment screens or provide inflight entertainment services. However, if you’re traveling on a domestic flight, you can download the SonyLIV app and play it on your smartphone or tablet after purchasing an unlimited 7-day subscription for ₹25.
Since your smartphone will be in offline mode on board, you will need to download the content you want to watch before boarding so that you can stream it once you’re airborne.
