The Breeze Airways baggage policy allows only 1 small personal item (laptop bag, small backpack, briefcase, or purse) free of charge for all fare types (Nice, Nicer, and Nicest). Nicer fares additionally include 1 carry-on and 1 checked bag and Nicest fares include 1 carry-on bag and 2 checked bags free of charge.

Breeze Airways Military Baggage

Breeze Airways’ military baggage allowance for active-duty military members is:

Assistive Devices on Breeze Airways

Breeze Airways baggage fees are nil for mobility devices like walkers, canes, crutches, wheelchairs, scooters, and medication. All such items can be carried free of charge, provided:

  • They are being used by the passenger 
  • They are packed separately from normal baggage items
  • They can pass through the aircraft’s cargo doors measuring 35in x 43in. If your device needs to be disassembled, the Breeze staff will promptly reassemble it upon arrival. 

Tip. If you’re using assistive an device, you can request to pre-board the aircraft so that you can gain priority access to the overhead compartment space. 

  • Breeze Airways offers priority cabin space for 1 large mobility device or wheelchair on a first-come-first-served availability basis. Other mobility items that can fit in the overhead bin space or under the seat are permitted on board.
  • Before checking an assistive device, you must securely fasten proper identification to the device.
  • Breeze Airways accepts scooters and electric wheelchairs only as checked baggage.
    • If travelling with any of these devices, you must reach the airport at least 90 minutes before departure and breeze airways check in at the departure gate no less than 45 minutes before departure. 
    • Before checking in an electric-powered scooter or wheelchair, you must:
      • Disconnect the cables 
      • Disconnect the battery, or 
      • Remove the battery if unable to load, stow, and unload the device in an upright manner
      • Protect the terminals against shorting
      • Keep the terminals in a leak-proof box that is securely fastened to the device

Portable Oxygen Concentrators (POCs)

Breeze Airways baggage policy accepts FAA-approved portable oxygen concentrators (POCs) free of charge, subject to the following conditions:

  • The usage of a POC is permitted on the aircraft only if it contains a label with the following statement in red letters: “The manufacturer of this POC has determined this device conforms to all applicable FAA acceptance criteria for POC carriage and use on board aircraft.”
  • The POC must be stowed under the passenger’s front.
  • The POC must be within the dimensions specified for carry-on baggage 
  • The POC must comply with FAA safety requirements
  • The passenger must bring enough fully-charged batteries into the cabin to run the device for at least 150% of the flight duration, as no power outlets are available on board.

Breeze Airways Lost Baggage | Delayed Baggage | Damaged Baggage

If your baggage is lost or damaged on Breeze Airways or does not arrive at your destination, you must immediately file a report with the Baggage Claim Department (at the airport) within 1 hour of your flight’s arrival, unless an applicable treaty or law requires a longer period. 

Breeze Airways baggage policy will try to deliver the baggage to you within 24 hours of arrival at no cost. However, if the baggage delay is due to your late check-in, a change of destination after check-in, or if you’re on standby travel, the baggage will be delivered at your expense.

If your Breeze Airways lost baggage cannot be located after 5 days, you must file a follow-up claim through a Breeze Contact Center

To submit a compensation claim (for lost, delayed, or damaged baggage, or pilferage), you must contact a Breeze Airways agent in the Baggage Claim area. If you’re claiming for items with a declared value of USD 50 or higher, you will be required to provide receipts for each such item. Plus, if you’re seeking reimbursement for interim expenses incurred by you to the delayed or lost baggage, you must provide valid proof of any expense incurred by you as long as it is within reasonable limits. The time limit for submitting such documents is within 30 days of arrival unless a longer period is stated by the applicable law or treaty.

Breeze Airways Baggage Policy for Sports Equipment

The Breeze Airways baggage policy allows the carriage of sporting equipment as part of your carry-on or checked baggage allowance, and must comply with the applicable weight and size requirements. Sporting equipment that exceeds the weight and size limits will incur overweight and/or oversize baggage charges, subject to the following exemptions below.
