Singapore Airlines complimentary rebooking policy applies to tickets issued on/before July 31, 2022
In response to the COVID-19 situation, Singapore Airlines is offering complimentary rebooking for all flight tickets issued on or before July 31, 2022. If your ticket was issued on or before July 31, 2022, and you have not utilized your one-time waiver of rebooking fees, you have the option to change your flight date and/or flight time without being charged a flight change fee, as long as you pay the fare difference (if any).
You can also transfer any add-ons to your new flight, such as additional baggage, seats, etc. if you have already purchased them. Add-on deals you’ve purchased for baggage, seats, etc., will be refunded to you as they cannot be purchased.
Singapore Airlines Change Flight Rules
The Singapore Airlines flight change rules allow you to make a one-time change for free if your ticket was issued on or before July 31, 2022, as long as you pay the applicable fare difference (if any).

The Singapore Airlines flight change rules allow complimentary rebooking, under which you can:
- Make a one-time change to your ticket without paying any change fees for tickets issued on or before July 31, 2022, provided you haven’t already utilized your one-time fee waiver.
- Make unlimited changes to your travel dates without paying any change fees for tickets issued before May 31, 2022. After May 31, 2022, you can only modify your travel dates once for free, but within 1 year of your ticket’s issue date.
Note
- The complimentary rebooking applies to both tickets purchased by cash/credit/debit card and tickets redeemed with KrisFlyer Miles.
- The flight change rules further state that although your booking change fees will be waived if you’re eligible for complimentary rebooking, you must, however, pay the fare difference, if any.
- You must make changes to your flight booking either before your original travel date or within 1 year from the date of issue of your ticket, whichever falls first. This means if you purchased a ticket on July 31, 2022, you must make the desired flight changes before July 31, 2023. You’ll find the date of issue of your ticket on the e-ticket attached to your booking confirmation mail.
- All flight changes must be made at least 2 hours before a flight’s scheduled departure time.
Note. If your ticket was issued on May 30, 2022, you must make the required changes to your ticket before May 30, 2023, to qualify for the Singapore Airlines travel fee waiver. Once you’ve made a change request, you don’t need to resubmit it online or through a contact number.
How to Change Singapore Airlines Flight Date, Time, and/or Destination
Can I change my flight date, time, and destination on Singapore Airlines?
Singapore Airlines allows you to change your flight date, time, and destination with or without being charged a flight change fee, depending on the fare conditions of your ticket.
- To change your travel date:
- Go to Manage Booking, select Change Booking, choose a new flight, and follow the prompts to change your flight. You can make online changes only if you purchased your ticket directly from Singapore Airlines (website, app, sales office, or call center).
- Call the travel agent you purchased your ticket from.

- To change your travel destination:

- Call the travel agent you purchased your ticket from.

Note
You can ask for a refund of the unused part of your ticket if you can’t travel because your flight is cancelled, an international border is closed, or you test positive for COVID-19. If you’ve purchased add-ons like additional baggage, seats, or other add-on deals, what you can do with them will depend on whether you’re changing your travel date or destination:
If you’re changing only your travel dates
- You can transfer your additional baggage to your new flight.
- You can transfer your seat option to your new flight if available. Otherwise, you will be offered a full refund.
- If you purchased an add-on deal, you can ask for a refund.
If you’re changing your destination
- Any add-ons purchased by you, such as additional baggage, seats, or other deals, can be refunded.
- You can repurchase the add-ons for your new flight, such as additional baggage, seats, etc., subject to prevailing prices and availability.

Singapore Airlines Book Now, Postpone Later Travel Option
Singapore Airlines offers a lot of flexibility to passengers who are changing their flight booking for free. You can book your ticket now and travel in 2023 if your ticket is reissued as explained below:
Step 1. Let’s say you book your ticket in September, 2021
You purchase your ticket in September 2021 with a travel date in December 2021.
Step 2. Then you decide to postpone your trip
You decide to postpone your trip to March, 2022 in October, 2021, because your trip is eligible for unlimited complimentary changes.
Step 3. You decide to postpone your trip again
You decide to postpone your trip again to August, 2022 in November, 2021, because your trip is eligible for unlimited complimentary changes.
Step 4. You postpone your trip yet again
You decide to postpone your and change your travel destination in July, 2022. Although your complimentary rebooking period is now over, you’re still allowed to make one free change after December 31, 2021. You will have to pay the applicable fare difference, depending on your new destination.
You will receive a new ticket based on your new itinerary with a new validity period not exceeding 12 months. This means you now have the flexibility to postpone your trip up to July 2023. Any changes after that will be subject to the applicable change fees.
What If Singapore Airlines Changes My Flight?
If Singapore Airlines changes your flight schedule or fails to operate according to schedule, or causes you to miss a connecting Singapore Airlines flight on which you hold a confirmed reservation, you have the option to:
- Take the next available flight offered to you by Singapore Airlines, or
- Take the alternative travel option offered by Singapore Airlines, such as another airline’s flight, surface transportation, etc., at no additional cost, even if the travel cost is higher. If the fare is lower, the balance amount will be refunded to you. Or
- Ask for a penalty-free refund.
Flight Change Terms and Conditions
- Applies to all Singapore Airlines tickets issued on or before July 31, 2022.
- The option applies to changes that relate to rebooking and re-routing, as long as they’re made at least 2 hours before your flight’s departure.
- Flight changes will be subject to fare differences, depending on the fare conditions of your ticket.
- You must complete your travel during your ticket’s validity period.
- If your original ticket is reissued, the validity period of your ticket will apply from the re-issued date of your ticket, and subject to the new fare’s conditions.
- Flight cancellations will depend on the fare conditions of your ticket.
- The cancellation fee will be waived if:
- Your flight is cancelled
- Your flight is disrupted due to COVID-19-related border closures
- You test positive for COVID-19
- If you’ve purchased any add-ons, such as extra baggage and seats:
- And you’re changing only your travel date, your additional baggage and seat option will be either transferred to your new flight if available, or cancelled. Any add-on deals purchased by you, incl. bundles, will be refunded.
- If you’re changing your flight destination, the add-ons purchased by you will be refunded. New add-ons must be purchased, subject to the prevailing prices and availability.
