- Modify your flight date at no extra charge (except the fare difference, if any), or
- Convert your flight booking into a Credit Account and redeem it within the next 3 years (from the date of issue)
Exceptions
- Malaysia. If you’re flying within Malaysia, you can cancel your flight and convert it to a Credit Account and redeem it within the next 730 days, as long as you pay just the applicable fare difference.
- Thailand (airline code FD)
- If your flight is booked between January 10, 2022, and February 28, 2022, with an original flight date up to June 30, 2022, you can make changes to your flight an unlimited number of times up to June 30, 2022, without being charged a flight change fee—only the applicable fare difference will be charged. You must do this at least 48 hours before your flight’s departure—either via AVA as explained below or through the Manage Booking (Manage in some countries) tab if you booked your ticket directly from AirAsia.
You can submit your refund request as follows:
- Go to AirAsia.com
- Click on the AVA icon
(it appears in the lower right corner of your screen) - Select COVID Flight Changes from the main menu
- Choose the AirAsia cancelled My Flight option
- Select an option that suits you: AVA icon
- Credit Account, or

- Follow the on-screen steps to complete your request
Tips
- When submitting your request with AVA, you must ensure that:
- Your email address matches the one you used for booking your flight.
- Your first and last name are the same as that you used for booking your flight.
- The flight dates are available on the date you want to move your flight to.
- You follow the steps exactly as suggested by AVA.
- If you booked your ticket through a travel agent (online or otherwise), you must process your request through them.
- If you have successfully submitted your request, you will receive a case number from AVA at the end of the chat. The case number will also be emailed to you. You can check the status of your request after logging in to your Big Rewards Member account and selecting the My Cases option. Due to a heavy backlog, the request can take up to 7 days to be processed.
- If you see a Declined message during/at the end of the chat, you probably did not meet the required terms and conditions.
- If you run into any problems, call your local AirAsia office, or contact AirAsia via Twitter, Facebook, or WhatsApp.

I have a terrible experience with Air Asia Philippines. Even though I purchased the ticket with insurance and it says on their website that for a immediate family dies, it can be credited to the account or a refund but the people in Air Asia denied the claim because it is personal reason and not their fault. A terrible experience and disappointment for Philippines. I am going to contact Raffy Tulfo and Business Bureau here in Washington to file a complaint. Is this how you treat your passengers?
