Frontier Airlines charges a baggage fee for both carry-on and checked bags, but you can carry 1 personal carry-on item free of charge in the cabin on a standard/basic ticket. The baggage fees increase with time, so the earlier you purchase your baggage allowance, the less you will have to pay. If you pay your baggage fee at the time of booking your ticket, you can save up to 50%.
You can pay for standard baggage online, byphone, or at the airport—but overweight and oversize baggage can only be paid for at the airport.

If you’ve purchased a standard/basic fare on Frontier Airlines, you will have to pay for your carry-on bag. However, if you want to bring a carry-on bag, you must either pay a baggage fee, purchase the WORKS or PERKS bundle, or be a Frontier Miles Elite member.

Frontier Airlines’ baggage prices for the first carry-on bag typically range from USD 37–60, depending on when, how, and for which route you purchase your baggage allowance. If you pay online at the time of booking, the baggage prices can range from USD 37–39. If you pay up to 24 hours before departure, the fee can range from USD 40–42, and about USD 55 at the airport kiosk or check-in counter, and USD 60 at the departure gate.

However, if you’re a Frontier Miles Elite member or have purchased the WORKS or PERKS bundle, you will be entitled to carry a free carry-on bag.
