• The number of seats you can bid on is limited.
• LOT’s automatic upgrade service via bidding will apply to all passengers in a single booking. If you place a bid offer for one passenger, your bid will be automatically multiplied by the number of passengers in your flight booking.
• When bidding for an upgrade, the original conditions of your ticket will continue to apply—including flight cancellations, cancellation fees, flight changes, change fees, and baggage allowance.
• If your upgrade bid is successful, your baggage allowance will not be increased—it will remain the same as that indicated in your original ticket. 
• If you’re upgraded successfully, the upgrade benefits—such as lounge access, fast track services, priority check-in, and priority boarding—will only apply to the upgraded flight segment. 
• If your upgrade bid is successful and your flight is cancelled, your upgrade bid will be valid on the substitute flight offered to you. However, if there aren’t enough seats available on the flight, the bid amount for the cancelled flight will be fully refunded to you.
• You cannot use your miles to bid for an upgrade.  
• Exceptions. You cannot bid for an upgrade if:
  • You’re travelling with children who are less than 2 years old
  • You’re travelling in a group of more than 9 passengers
  • You’re travelling on a PLL LOT-operated charter flight 
  • Your flight ticket has not yet been confirmed

How to Place an Upgrade Bid with LOT Polish Airlines. To place an upgrade bid with LOT Polish Airlines, follow the steps below: 

1. Make your upgrade bid offer at least 24 hours before departure by entering the bid amount you wish to pay to upgrade to the higher travel class. 
2. Provide your credit card information, so that it can be automatically charged if your offer is successful (you cannot upgrade with Miles).
