Singapore Airlines requires that the name on your ticket exactly matches the name on your passport/valid legal ID. If it does not, you may not be allowed to board your flight.
The Singapore Airlines name change policy allows you to correct misspellings “within reason” so that your name appears correctly on your ticket. If your name does not appear correctly on your ticket, you can:
- Correct up to 3 characters of your name
- Correct the salutation
- Correct the maiden/married name
- Add your middle name
Note
- Singapore Airlines does not permit a complete change of name.
- Singapore Airlines’ tickets are non-transferrable.
- Name changes/corrections must be made before the journey commences.
- Name changes/corrections cannot be made by phone.
- You will be required to provide proof of the correct name, such as your passport, driver’s license, marriage or divorce certificate, etc.

After receiving your request, Singapore Airlines will make the required changes or corrections to and update and reissue your membership card. You may be charged a name change fee of USD 10 or 1,000 KrisFlyer Miles for a new membership card.
Singapore Airlines Name Change Process
How to change the name on a ticket at Singapore Airlines?
If your name does not appear correctly on your ticket, you must call , your local Singapore Airlines office, or your travel agent, and ask them how to fix the issue. Although name changes cannot be made by phone, you will receive the exact guidance you need, such as the contact details/email address of the local office, documents required, the name change fee (if any), etc.
Singapore Airlines Name Change Fee
Minor name corrections such as spelling mistakes made by Singapore Airlines’ staff typically will not attract a name change fee. Other name corrections and/or changes will attract an Airline Service Fees (OC Tax) of USD 50 for the UK and a similar fee for other countries.
If the name change entails a new PNR—such as a name change after marriage, divorce, or adoption—you will have to pay the applicable flight change fee. This can range from USD 75 (Economy Class), USD 100 (Premium Economy Class), to USD 200 (Business Class), and USD 500 (First Class). However, for the exact fee, check the fare conditions of your ticket or call or your local Singapore Airlines office.
