Qatar Airways Check-in Time
Qatar Airways recommends that you reach the airport 3 hours before departure, when the check-in counters typically open. You must complete all formalities 1 hour before departure, when the check-in counters generally close.
- Online Check-in Time
You can check in online through web check-in:
- For flights from/to the United States. From 24 hours to 90 minutes before departure.
- For other flights. From 48 hours to 90 minutes before departure.
Note. Online check-in is not available in Sarajevo.
- Mobile App Check-in Time
You can check in with Qatar Airways’ mobile app:
- For flights from/to the United States. From 24 hours to 90 minutes before departure.
- For other flights. From 48 hours to 90 minutes before departure.
After you check in, you will automatically receive your mobile boarding pass on your smartphone or tablet.
Note. Mobile check-in is not available in Sarajevo.
- Airport Desk Check-in Time
You should reach the airport 3 hours before departure. The check-in counters typically open 3 hours before departure and close 1 hour before departure—by which time you should have completed your check-in formalities.
Note. Counter closing times may vary by airport, so always check your e-ticket receipt for the exact closing time.

How to check-in online at Qatar Airways
You can check in online for your Qatar Airways flight (except from Sarajevo) from 24 hours to 90 minutes before departure to/from the United States, and from 48 hours to 90 minutes before departure to/from other destinations.
Before checking in, have the following Advance Passenger Information (API) ready:
- Your passport
- Your visa
- Your Privilege Club cards (if holding)
- Your accommodation details (if any)
If you’re checking in in a group, have the details of all the passengers ready.
Process. To check in for your flight online at Qatar Airways:
- Go to QatarAirways.com
- Click on the Check-in tab (as shown in the screenshot above)
- Enter the following details to retrieve your booking:
- Your booking reference
- Your last name
- Click on the Check-in button
- Confirm your check-in and
- Print your boarding pass, or
- Email your boarding pass to yourself, or
- Send your boarding pass to your mobile phone
When you check-in online, you can also select your seat.
Passengers Not Eligible for Online Check-in
You won’t be able to check in online if:
- You’re holding an unconfirmed or standby booking
- You need medical or special assistance
- You’re travelling on an unaccompanied minor booking
- You’re required to make an additional payment

How to check in with Qatar Airways mobile app
Passengers holding a confirmed Qatar Airways booking can check in with any internet-enabled smartphone device from 24 hours to 90 minutes before departure to/from the United States, and from 48 hours to 90 minutes before departure from other destinations.
How to check-in
To check in with the Qatar Airways mobile app, simply point your device’s camera at your passport’s details page. After checking in, you can SMS, email, or print your boarding pass to yourself, or save it to your device and show it at the airport counter and departure gate.
After reaching the airport, head to the fast-bag drop counter to deposit your bags.

Note
- Counter closing times may vary by airport, so always check your e-ticket receipt for the exact closing time. You can also ask the local Qatar office in your area or your departure airport.
- Boarding gates close 20 minutes before departure for most flights.
At the check-in desk, you will be required to present:
- Your passport and/or original official ID card
- Your other travel documents
After you present your documents at the airport, you can check in your bags, after which you’ll be assigned a seat and given your boarding pass.
