The Thai Airways web check-in process is very simple. To web check-in through Thai Airways website: 

  1. Go to ThaiAirways.com 
  2. Select the check-in option 
  3. Enter the following to identify yourself:
    1. Your last name
    2. Your booking reference or electronic ticket number
  4. Hit the Submit button 

The system will check you in (and your group) immediately. 

Additionally, during online check-in, you can:

  • Add passengers (incl. infants) for checking in under the same booking code (or different).
  • Update your Frequent Flyer/Royal Orchid Plus Number through the Update Frequent Flyer option.
  • Change seats through the Change Seats option. If your return flight within 24 hours has the same code, you will be automatically checked in for the return flight.
  • Add regulatory information that is required by the country of destination for international flights. If it’s not available:
    • You’ll have to see a Thai Airways representative at the check-in desk 
    • You won’t be able to obtain a printout of your boarding pass
  • Obtain the Confirmation Document, required by:
    • Passengers who have filled out their regulatory data but are travelling to a country requiring ADC/API/APP/AQQ, and 
    • Those who have booked their tickets with debit/credit card by phone/online. 

The passengers mentioned above cannot print their boarding passes but can receive them via email and save their Confirmation Documents. They can obtain their boarding pass from the check-in desk prior to their check-in deadline.

  • Obtain your boarding pass for eligible domestic flights as well as flights to destinations that do not require API (advance passenger information). You can obtain a Thai Airways boarding pass in any of the following ways:
    • Home Printed Boarding Pass which you can print on an A4-sized sheet. 
    • Mobile/Passbook Boarding Pass which you will receive via e-mail.
    • Email Boarding Pass that you receive by email for saving and printing later.

Exceptions. Web check-in is not available for: 

  • Passengers who have requested special assistance at the airport, such as wheelchairs, medical attention, etc.
  • Children travelling alone as unaccompanied minors
  • Passengers travelling with sports equipment
  • Passengers travelling with pets 
  • Passengers travelling with overweight/oversized baggage
  • Passengers travelling with paper tickets (you can only web check in with an e-ticket)

If you fall into any of the above categories, you will have to check in at the airport counter.

Tips

  • If a connecting flight does not display (due to technical reasons), request the airport check-in staff to help with connecting check-in and/or seat changes.
  • To make changes after online check-in, re-enter the iCheck-in with your reservation code and make changes to your seating, and frequent flyer number or even cancel your check-in.
  • If you couldn’t print your boarding pass, proceed to the Thai Internet Check-in counter at the airport and request a printout of your boarding pass and get your travel documents verified.

The Thai Airways mobile check-in service is open 24 hours to 1 hour before departure. 

To check in with Thai Airways mobile app: 

  1. Download the app 
  2. Identify yourself by entering your:
    1. Last name
    2. Reservation code/e-ticket number/Royal Orchid Plus number
    3. Follow the prompts to check in for your flight

When using the mobile check-in option, you can also:

  • Add passengers for checking in.
  • Edit Frequent Flyer/Royal Orchid Plus number.

Tips

If you already have your e-boarding pass: 

  • Show the 2D barcode to the staff at the check-in point or counter for inspection. 
  • You’ll need to check your luggage at least 60 minutes prior to departure at the airport’s Bag Drop by presenting the e-boarding pass on your mobile phone or Passbook.
  • The domestic check-in counter at Suvarnabhumi Airport is located at counter C15, and the international check-in counter is located at J1/J2. 
  • If you are not travelling with checked luggage, you should proceed directly to your boarding gate.
  • If you forgot your phone or cannot present your e-boarding pass, you won’t need to again check in at the airport. Just proceed to the Thai Airways check-in counter, inform the flight details to the staff, and you will be provided a hard copy of your ticket. If you’re travelling on a Business Class ticket and are past the search point, you can ask for a replacement ticket at the lounge or your boarding gate.

Thai Airways airport kiosk check-in is a great way to save time at the airport. It is available from 12 hours to 30 minutes before departure (same day) at the following airports:

  • Bangkok (Suvarnabhumi)
