  • Present the required documents, such as your ticket, passport, visa, etc.
  • The ANA staff will check your documents and issue a printed boarding pass.
  • You can also request a change of seat, an upgrade, etc.
  1. Through check-in Time and Process

If your itinerary contains multiple sectors and you are eligible for through check-in, you must complete your through check-in within the specified time limits (listed below).

You can use the through check-in service if:

  1. You check in within the minimum connecting time limits.
  2. You hold a confirmed flight reservation for the connecting flight.
  3. The connecting flight’s operating carrier is a partner airline that allows through check-ins.
  4. Your complete itinerary appears on one flight ticket (most cases).
  5. The through check-in service is available at the airport.

Through Check-in from Domestic to International Flights

You can through check in at all domestic airports within Japan (except Kitakyushu and Iki airports) for an ANA International flight at least 30 minutes before departure. Your baggage will be transported to your destination.

  • If the domestic flight sector’s arrival airport in Japan is different from the international flight’s departure airport (such as Itami-Kansai or Haneda-Narita), you will be required to check in your baggage at the international flight’s departure airport.
  • You can check in your baggage only on same-day connections. Only Haneda Airport offers a through baggage service for flights departing between midnight and 3am the next day.
  • You can check in online if you’re connecting from a domestic flight within Japan to an ANA Group carrier-operated international flight.

If You’re Checking in at the Airport…

You can complete a through check-in for an international flight at an airport in Japan, use a self-service check-in machine (if available), or go to the international connection counter, which is mandatory at:

  • Sapporo (New Chitose, Counter #6)
  • Okinawa (Naha, Counter #3)
  • Fukuoka (Domestic Terminal 1F, Counter #5)
  • Osaka (Itami, South Terminal, Counter #11)
  • Nagoya (Chubu, K1)

The SKiP service will not be available.

If You’re Checking in Online

If you’re checking in online for an international flight, you don’t need to check in at the airport. To check your baggage, proceed to Baggage Counter. However, if you’ll be checking from the following airports, use the baggage counters as shown below:

  • Sapporo (New Chitose, Counter #6)
  • Okinawa (Naha, Counter #3)
  • Fukuoka (Domestic Terminal 1F, Counter #5)
  • Osaka (Itami, South Terminal, Counter #11)
  • Nagoya (Chubu, K1)

Through Check-in for a Domestic ANA Flight within Japan
