Asiana Airlines recommends that you reach the airport check-in counter at least 2 hours prior to departure for an international flight.

Points to Remember

  • For international flights, reach the airport no less than 2 hours before your flight departs. 
  • Some airports do not accept mobile boarding passes. 
  • For group bookings of 10 or more, seat assignments cannot be made before 48 hours.
  • Seat assignment is not permitted on codeshare flights operated by another airline (you will need to contact the other airline).

  • If you entered your frequent flyer number at the time of booking, go to Find My Trip and check in.

  • You can check in online even if you purchased your ticket from a travel agency.

What to Do After You Check in Online

After you’ve checked in online: 

  1. Print the boarding pass that you received by email at home. Alternatively, click on the link you received by SMS or Kakao notification to view your boarding pass.
  2. After reaching the airport, proceed directly to the concourse with your boarding pass. You don’t need to stop at the airport counter. If you’re checking in bags, go to the counter for online check-in to have your bags processed. If your bag does not accept home-printed/mobile boarding passes, get your boarding pass from the Asiana Airlines airport counter and then go to the concourse. 
  3. Proceed for security inspection and immigration. Make sure you’re carrying your passport and the travel documents required by immigration.
  4. Proceed to your boarding gate with your boarding pass. Boarding for international flights starts 25 – 40 minutes before departure and closes 10 minutes before departure. For domestic flights, boarding starts 15 minutes before departure and closes 5 minutes before departure.

If you apply for Asiana Airlines auto check-in service, you will be automatically checked in 24 hours before your flight’s departure. Your boarding pass will be delivered to you if the airport you’re departing from accepts mobile boarding passes.

  • For international flights 361 days to 48 hours before departure
  • For domestic flights 30 days to 24 hours before departure


How to auto check-in
To auto check-in on your Asiana Airlines reservation as a guest:

  1. Go to FlyAsiana.com
  2. Click on the Check-in tab (it appears below) 
  3. Select/enter your:
    1. Booking Number/Flight Ticket Number, and 
    2. Boarding Date
  4. Click on the Search button
  5. Select the reservation you want to auto check-in for
  6. Select or change your seat (optional) and click on the auto check-in button

Note. Your boarding pass will be delivered to your email or cellphone number, so make sure you enter the correct email address/number.

Asiana Airlines City Check-in

If your Asiana Airlines flight is departing from Incheon Airport, you can check in and go through boarding and immigration procedures on the day of departure at the following City Airport Counters:

  • Samseong-dong City Airport. From 05.20 – 18.30, up to 3 hours before departure. 
  • Seoul Station City Airport. From 05.20 – 19.00, up to 3 hours before departure. 
  • Gwangmyeong Station City Airport. From 06.30 – 19.00, up to 3 hours before departure. 

Eligibility 

  • You cannot check in at a city airport if:
    • You’re travelling in a group on charter or on a non-scheduled flight.
    • You require special assistance, such as a wheelchair or unaccompanied minor service.
    • You’re travelling with large baggage, musical instruments, and/or pets.
    • You’re taking a codeshare flight of other airlines on an Asiana Airlines flight number.
  • You cannot check in for a domestic or an international flight from Gimpo Airport, and for a domestic flight that departs from Incheon International Airport.
  • You’re allowed to check in at a city airport if you’re taking a codeshare flight operated by Asiana Airlines on an affiliate company flight number.

You can check in physically at an airport self-service kiosk (unmanned boarding machine) up to 60 minutes before departure for international flights and up to 20 minutes before departure for domestic flights within Korea. To check in, you will need your:
