  • Economy Flex and Saga Premium Flex fares permit free date changes but you must pay the fare difference between the old and the new fare.

• Domestic Economy Light and Economy Standard tickets issued before October 1, 2021, are also subject to a one-time change fee waiver on the condition subsequent changes will be subject to the standard fare rules of the ticket.

If a schedule change occurs, Icelandair will notify you by SMS, email, or phone and do its best to rebook you on the next available flight or provide alternative travel options at no additional cost. If the schedule change significantly impacts your travel plans, you will have the option to rebook your flight at no additional charge or ask for a full refund, such as if the schedule change:

• Causes you to miss a flight connection 
• No longer suits you due to the rescheduled timing 
• Results in the cancellation of your flight with no reprotection offer from Icelandair
• Means a delay of 5 hours or more

Note. If your flight is covered by EC Regulation 261/2004, you may additionally be entitled to compensation (ranging from €250 – 600) for flight delays of 3 hours or more, based on the duration of your trip and length of the delay, provided the delay is not due to extraordinary circumstances beyond Icelandair’s control.
