Cathay Pacific Name Change/Correction Fees

The Cathay Pacific name change fee/name correction fee is a charge that passengers must pay if they need to change the name on their ticket. This fee is applicable as a service charge for tickets purchased through travel agents and third-party websites and does not apply to tickets booked directly through Cathay Pacific (online, by phone, or at a ticketing office/airport counter).

The name change/correction fees in the table below will apply to any corrections made to your name after your ticket has been issued.

• The name change service fee will include 5% GST for Economy Class and 12% for higher classes in addition to the above charge. The travel class for computation purposes will be based on the first outbound flight.
• The above fee applies only to name corrections. Name changes amounting to a change of passengers are not permitted.
• A name change due to legal reasons must be backed by legal documentary proof at the time of placing the name change request. 
• You must ensure that the name entered by you at the time of booking exactly matches the name on your passport or legal ID.
• If your ticket includes codeshare flights with other interline carriers, you cannot make a name correction to your ticket. 
• You cannot transfer your ticket to another traveler by changing the name on your ticket. 
• If you want to transfer your ticket to someone else, you’ll have to purchase a new ticket in the new traveler’s name.
• To make a name correction/change on a ticket purchased directly through Cathay Pacific’s website or office, call Cathay Pacific at 800-050-2163 for amendments.
• If you purchased your ticket from a travel agent, you must contact the agent directly to make a name change/correction.
