To pay less baggage fees, you must purchase your bags when you’re booking your flight.
The Allegiant carry-on baggage policy for normal/standard fares allows all passengers to bring 1 personal item for free—such as a briefcase, small backpack, or a purse. The item must fit under the seat in front of the passenger.

You can pay your carry-on baggage fee online before reaching the airport or at the airport, as long as you haven’t checked in at the airport and printed your boarding pass. If you didn’t reserve your bags when booking your ticket, you can do it later through the website or your MyAllegiant account (if you have one), as long as you haven’t already checked in physically at the airport or printed your boarding pass. As with carry-on bags, paying your baggage fee in advance at the time of booking is significantly cheaper than paying at the airport.
You must have checked in your bags before your check-in deadline, ideally at least 1 hour before departure (most counters close 45 minutes before departure) because all bags are subject to inspection.
