How to Upgrade on Breeze Airways

If you’ve purchased a Nice or a Nicer fare and want to upgrade on Breeze Airways, you can purchase bags and upgrade your seat a-la-carte. However, to upgrade your fare completely, you’ll have to cancel your booking and rebook at the current price.

When upgrading your seat on Breeze Airways, remember that:

• Nice seats are equivalent to standard-legroom seats on other domestic U.S. airlines.
• Nicer seats offer extra legroom and are located closer to the front of the aircraft.
• Nicest seats (available on A220 aircraft) are equivalent to First Class seats on other domestic U.S. airlines.
• If you’ve booked a Nice fare (cheapest), depending on your route you will have to pay:
  • USD 10 – 30 to select a Standard Legroom Seat.
  • USD 20 – 50 to upgrade to an Extra Legroom Seat.
  • USD 30 – 259 to upgrade to a First Class Seat.

Breeze Airways Upgrade Options

If you have already purchased your ticket and want to make a Breeze Airways upgrade, you have the following options:

• Upgrade to a Breeze Airways First Class Seat (on A220 aircraft), which is 20.5in wide, has a recliner-style 39in pitch, fixed armrests, in-seat power, plus USB/USB-C.
• Purchase Extra Seat Space if you need additional space compared to a standard seat (which is 18in wide and provides a 30-pitch. You can do this by requesting to be seated next to an empty seat, if available. 
• Upgrade to a Breeze Airways Extra Legroom Seat (available on E190 and E195 aircraft), which has more room than a standard seat (Nicer and Nicest bundles include seat selection). The armrests of Extra Legroom and Standard Mid-Row seats are moveable, but not for emergency exit row and bulkhead seats. Remember, you will not be allowed to raise the armrests if you do not purchase an extra seat.

Tip for Families Travelling with Children

If your family is traveling with children aged 12 or less, you don’t have to pay to avoid being seated separately from the rest of your family. Breeze offers free Standard Seat assignments to ticketed child passengers (0 – 12 years) and grown-ups accompanying them (13+ years) in the standard seat section designated for Family Seating. Family Seating can include 2 grown-ups and 1 child or 2 grown-ups and 2 child passengers. However, if you’re booking a seat with a lap infant, the rules for regular seat assignments will apply. 

Note: To add a pet to your flight booking, you must purchase a Standard or Extra Legroom seat and not a First Class seat due to under-seat space limitations.

Breeze Airways offers the following fare bundles on its flights, available at the time of booking (Breeze Airways upgrades can only be purchased a la carte, as mentioned above).

Breeze Airways Exit Row Seat Requirements

Per federal regulations, passengers seated in exit rows must comply with the requirements below:​​​​​​​​​

• Must be at least 15 years of age and capable of performing certain duties unaided.
• Must be sufficiently mobile, strong, and dexterous in both arms and legs. 
• Must be capable of reading and understanding oral/printed/graphic instructions relating to emergency evacuation in English. ​​​​​​​​​​​​​​
• Must have enough visual capacity for performing actions without requiring visual aids other than eyeglasses or contact lenses. 
• Must be capable of hearing and understanding instructions without assistance other than a hearing aid when shouted by the flight crew. ​​​​​​​​​
• Must be able to read, speak, and provide instructions in English to other passengers​​​​​​​​​​​​​​.
• Must not be solely responsible for another passenger so that it might prevent the passenger from performing the required duties in case of an emergency.
• Must not be injured in any way or have a condition that might prevent the passenger from performing any of the duties above or may cause harm to the passenger. 
• Must not be travelling with a service animal or a pet.

You can upgrade your shat on Breeze Airways:

How to Upgrade Online on Breeze Airways

If you have already checked in for your flight, you can still upgrade your seat online or with the Breeze mobile app. Just be sure to select the correct passenger’s name on the screen titled Edit Guest Seat.

• After selecting your seat, click on Save Changes.
• To save seat changes, click on Checkout and click on Discard Changes if you change your mind.
• Hit Continue. 
• On the Reservations Summary page, select Save Booking to confirm your seat.
  

Note: To view the details of your seat booking, select View Booking. Your seat/seats will appear under each passenger’s name.

How Can I Upgrade My Luggage on Breeze Airways

You can upgrade your luggage on Breeze Airways i.e., add extra baggage or change the baggage type on your existing reservation:

• By calling customer service number 
• By contacting a call center in your city
• Online via My Trips (as explained below)
• By contacting Breeze Airways’ Guest Empowerment Team
• At a Breeze retail outlet
• At a Breeze airport ticket counter 
• Through the travel agent that issued your ticket

Note: Adding bags within 4 hours of the scheduled departure or at the airport will cost you USD 50.

How to Upgrade Luggage on Breeze Airways Online 

You can upgrade your baggage online on Breeze Airways by yourself if you purchased your ticket directly through the Breeze Airways website or mobile app. To upgrade your baggage online on Breeze Airways:

• Log in to the Breeze Airways Guest account through which you purchased your ticket
• Go to the My Trips page
  (you will see all your upcoming reservations).
• Click on the desired reservation.
• Select the View Flight Options box.
• Click on the Edit Guest Bags button on the right.
• Select how many carry-on and checked bags you want to add.
  • You’ll see the baggage prices on the page.
  • Unselect the bags you won’t be needing. 
  • To edit bags for a single flight on a round-trip booking, select the check mark next to Apply Bag Selections to Return Flight and add or delete bags from the return flight.
  • After changing or adding bags, hit Save Changes.

Note: If a bag has an Included sign, it means that the bag is bundled with a fare type and cannot be refunded. 

• Discard the changes on the Trip Details page or select the Checkout button to pay.
