  • The change flight policy for tickets purchased on or after March 2, 2023, is as follows:
    • Economy Lite fares cannot be changed. 
    • The following fares can be modified for a feeplusthe difference in fares:
      • Economy Value 
      • Economy Comfort
    • The following fares can be modified without a change fee but you must pay the fare difference:
      • Economy Plus 
      • Economy Biz Value
      • Economy Biz Plus
  • If a flight to or from the United States or Canada is cancelled or delayed by at least 3 hours for reasonsoutside the airline’s control, Fiji Airways change flight policy is as follows:
    • You will be provided a confirmed reservation free of charge on the next available flight departing no later than 48 hours from your airport to your destination on Fiji Airways or a carrier with which it has a commercial agreement.
      • However, if you’re travelling to/from the United States and the alternative travel arrangements don’t suit you, you can ask for a full refund of the unused portion of your ticket.
    • If Fiji Airways is unable to provide a confirmed reservation as described above, it will refund the unused portion of your ticket.

      • If you’re flying to or from Canada, you can ask for a full refund if you haven’t used any part of your ticket. 
  • If a flight to or from the United States or Canada is cancelled or delayed by at least 3 hours for reasonswithin the airline’s control (incl. for safety reasons), Fiji Airways change flight policy is as follows:
    • You will be provided alternative travel arrangements free of charge as soon as possible.
      • If you’re travelling to or from Canada:
        • You will be provided a free confirmed reservation on the next available flight operated by Fiji Airways or another carrier with which it has a commercial agreement to your destination within 9 hours of your original flight’s departure time. 
        • If Fiji Airways is unable to provide a confirmed reservation as described above, you will be provided a free confirmed reservation on a flight operated by any other carrier to your destination that departs within 48 hours of your original flight’s departure time, or 
        • If Fiji Airways is unable to provide a confirmed reservation as described in both the points above, you will be provided alternative travel arrangements from a nearby airport to your final destination along with free transportation to the airport 
      • If you’re travelling to or from the United States, you will be provided a free confirmed reservation on the next available flight operated by Fiji Airways. 
    • You can ask for a full refund of your ticket if the alternative arrangements offered to you above do not suit you.
      • If you’re no longer at your point of origin and travelling further no longer serves any purpose due to the disruption, your ticket will be refunded subject to the airline’s refund conditions, and you will be provided a free confirmed reservation to the point of origin that accommodates your travel needs, and 
      • In other cases, refunded the unused portion of your ticket basis the airline’s refund conditions.
  • If a flight to or from the United States or Canada is cancelled or delayed by at least 3 hours for reasonswithin the airline’s control but due to safety reasons.
    • If you’re travelling to or from Canada and:
      • You have been informed of the delay or cancellation within 12 hours before departure and have waited for 2 hours after the original flight’s scheduled departure time, you will be provided the following treatment for free:
        • Food and drink, depending on the time of day, length of the wait, and location, and 
        • Free access to a reasonable means of communication 
      • You were informed of the delay within 12 hours before the departure time indicated on your original flight ticket and the airline expects you to wait overnight for your flight, you are entitled to free hotel accommodation (or comparable accommodation) in relation to your location, along with free transportation from the airport to the hotel and back. 
    • If you’re travelling to or from the United States and: 
      • You choose to continue your travel on your original or the alternative flight offered to you which results in your having to wait for 2 hours or more at the airport, you are entitled to the following treatment for free:
        • Meal, refreshment vouchers, or reasonable reimbursement if no vouchers are provided, and 
        • Free overnight accommodation if you’re no longer at your point of origin, or reimbursement thereof if the airline is unable to provide any overnight accommodation 
  • If a flight to or from any other region (excluding the U.S. and Canada) is cancelled or significantly delayed due to reasonswithin the airline’s control but is required for safety reasons, Fiji Airways change flight policy is as follows:
    • You will be provided a free confirmed reservation on the next available flight operated by Fiji Airways.
      • If you decide to continue travel on the original or the alternative flight offered to you and have to wait for at least 2 hours at the airport of departure, you will be entitled to the following treatment free of charge:
        • Meal, refreshment vouchers, or reimbursement thereof if vouchers cannot be provided, and
        • If you’re not longer at your point of origin and an overnight stay is required, you will be provided free overnight accommodation or reimbursed for it if it cannot be provided by the airline

  • Fiji Airways will extend the validity of your ticket without charging any flight change fee or additional fare until you’re ready to travel again on the next available flight if:
    • You fall ill and present a medical certificate certified by a physician stating that you’re unable to travel. Your ticket (incl. that of those accompanying you) will be extended at the airline’s discretion till you’re ready to travel again
      or 
    • It cancels a flight where you hold a confirmed reservation
      or
    • It skips your point of departure, stopover, or destination
      or 
    • It fails to operate a flight reasonably according to schedule

    • It causes you to miss a connection flight where you hold a confirmed booking

    • It changes your class of service
      or 
    • It cannot provide you with a previously confirmed seat
  • Fiji Airways will extend the validity of the tickets of passengers who are either immediate family members of a deceased passenger or are other passengers accompanying the deceased passenger, subject to the following conditions:
    • The presentation of a death certificate at the time of re-ticketing. The death certificate must be issued by a competent authority in the country of death. 
    • (At the airline’s discretion) Normal fares can be extended beyond 1 year and special fares can be extended beyond the minimum period of stay.
  • If you paid for additional services and did not receive them on the alternative flight offered to you or had to pay for them a second time, the cost of the additional services will be fully refunded to you. 
  • If you are rebooked in a higher travel class than the one you paid for, you will not be charged the fare difference.
