To book a flight on Vietnam Airlines online through the airlineā€™s website, follow the steps below:

    The flight booking page will open by default
  2. Enter your flight requirements, such as your:

    3. Departure date (Depart)
    4. Return date (if required)

How to Check Vietnam Airlines Flight Status

You can check your Vietnam Airlines flight status by phone (call the airline office in your city/airport) or online through the website.

To check your Vietnam Airlines flight status online, follow the steps below:

  • You can book up to 9 passengers (incl. infants) per booking.
  • Child passengers
    • Passengers between 2 and under 12 years of age on the first flight are treated as children. 
    • Children must be accompanied by an adult booked in the same reservation.
    • Children are entitled to a 10% discount on the applicable adultā€™s fare. 
    • Children travelling alone must provide a letter of commitment from the legitimate representative to the operating airline.
  • Infant passengers
    • Passengers between 7 days and under 2 years of age on the first wholly-operated Vietnam Airlines flight are treated as infants. 
    • Lap infants must travel on the accompanying adultā€™s lap. 
    • Lap infants are entitled to a 90% discount on the applicable adult fare. 
  • If you book online or purchase through Konbini 7- Eleven, the due date/payment period will be 5 days before your flightā€™s departure.

Vietnam Airlines Manage Booking

Vietnam Airlines Seat Booking 

You can make advance seat selections:

  • At the time of booking your flight (online, by phone, or at a ticket office.
  • After booking your flight (online via Manage Booking or by phone).

Youā€™re allowed to change your seat after booking, subject to availability, and after paying the full fees if required. 

Seat refunds are not permitted, unless:

  • Vietnam Airlines changes its flight schedule.
  • You change your seat selection and pay the full fee for the new seat. 

You must claim the refund no later than 14 days after completing your last flight. 

Vietnam Airlines Seating Options

Restrictions on Newborns 

  • Infants more than 7 days old and below 2 years of age on the date of the first flight (last flight date for itineraries with a flight operated by another airline) are accepted. 
  • Infants must be healthy and accompanied by their parent or legal guardian. 
  • The total number of infants on a flight must not exceed 10% of the aircraftā€™s seating capacity.
  • Infants below 7 days will not be accepted. 
  • Unhealthy/premature infants (in oxygen tents) will be accepted subject to fulfilling all the required procedures for MEDA passengers and the infant being accompanied by a special nurse or doctor specializing in pediatrics.

Special Assistance 

Vietnam Airlines accepts passengers with disabilities as long as they are otherwise healthy and do not require medical clearance.
